Rangers fans are loving Jason Cummings’ bizarre ‘feud’ with WWE star

Striker Jason Cummings has only just arrived at Rangers and is already proving popular with supporters at Ibrox after a series of hard working performances, but is his progress about to be hampered by a legend of professional wrestling?

The former Hibernian man has found himself in the sights of WWE star Matt Hardy after discussing a potential tag-team pairing with Scottish wrestler Grado, who you may remember from a brilliant video at Hibs’ training ground in April of last year.

Speaking to Rangers TV about a potential match with the ICW star, Hardy later pitched in, claiming Cummings has been ‘marked for deletion’, his catchphrase in WWE.

Cummings of course responded, claiming that the ‘Hardy Boyz’ will ‘do nothing’.

Supporters will be hoping that Hardy doesn’t delete the on-loan striker before he can bang in more goals for the Ibrox club after netting his first against Ross County.

They have been loving the well-natured back and forth, just the latest in a long line of incidents in Scottish football that have caused much hilarity.

This is some of the Twitter reaction…
