Arsenal fans outraged by Elneny red card
Considering that Southampton are fighting a relegation battle, many would have assumed that an easy victory awaited Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger’s side welcomed the coastal club to North London, but it was not the ideal start for the Gunners as they went a goal down inside the first 17 minutes.
Shane Long nudged the Saints ahead, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang managed to pull one back around the half-hour mark.
Danny Welbeck gave Arsenal the lead nine minutes later, before Charlie Austin found an equaliser in the second half.

With eight minutes of normal time remaining on the clock, Welbeck was the hero as he claimed his second of the day, which sparked a big reaction from supporters on social media.
In the latter stages of the contest, chaos broke out as Jack Stephens was given a straight red card by referee Andre Mariner for retaliating angrily to Jack Wilshere tugging at his shirt.
A few minutes later, Elneny was also handed his marching orders for appearing to shove Cedric Soares.
A large number of Arsenal fans feel that the sending-off was unjust.
