Celtic fans fume at Rodgers’ post-Leipzig comments

Loads of Celtic fans have been reacting to Brendan Rodgers’ post-Leipzig comments, and it’s fair to say they’re not too hapy with the manager’s outlook.
Towards the end of his tenure at Liverpool, Reds’ fans began to get annoyed with Rodgers’ post-game interviews.
No matter how poor the performance or result, the Northern Irishman would consistently praise the players as “outstanding”, praising their character and desire.
While that’s not quite what he did after Thursday’s 2-0 defeat in Germany, fans are fuming at his bizarrely positive outlook on the game.
The Bhoys were beaten due to a first half flurry of chances for the home side, in which only a dramatic save from Craig Gordon kept it from going to 3-0.

Rodgers’s weakened side never really looked like getting back into the game, but he clearly doesn’t see it that way.
“I wanted the players to play positive football and I thought we tried to do that. The players who haven’t played a lot gave everything tonight,” he said.
“Too many times we gave the ball away under no pressure. This is something that’s important for the players to learn. A lot of positives but we didn’t get the result.”
It’s fair to say fans are struggling to see the positives from Thursday’s performance, as the side were quite simply outclassed by a Leipzig’s high-tempo play.
